GUND was formed in 1898 by Adolph Gund in Norwalk, USA and is America's No. 1 brand, leading the way by its superior innovative design and attention to detail.

GUND has a number of innovations to its credit. These include being the first manufacturer to develop a licensed product (Felix the Cat and Popeye in 1924), the first to utilise moulded parts on a soft toy and the first company to develop the now widespread Supersoft™ products. It could be said that GUND almost invented the soft toy business.

The company has achieved wide recognition in various worldwide markets, with many of its products regularly collecting industry and consumer awards. In the current range, a number of products have collected the prestigious ‘TOBY’ award, the equivalent of the teddy bear oscars. GUND Baby has grown to be one of the leading nursery brands whilst the GUND core range of teddy bears, animals, gifts, impulse, seasonal and licensed products continue to be the widest range available from any single company of its type.
